Stephanie Nhan (Beppie) hit the children’s music scene in 2017 with her debut album; There’s a Song Inside Me. Since then, she has released four more full-length albums (and one holiday EP), receiving two JUNO and two WCMA nominations. Her multi-genre family music is modern, fun, innovative, and pushes the boundaries of children’s music to appeal to all ages. In 2021, Beppie signed an album deal with Platoon (Apple Music) and set to work releasing album number five, Nice to Meet You. Every song carries a bit of nostalgia for those moments that linger with us from our youth. The brain freezes from the Slurpees we drank too fast, the bestest friend forever we met 30 seconds ago at the park, and the silly dances we made up. That electric feeling you get when it’s Friday and you are just about to leave school to enjoy the weekend. Trying to figure out what to wear in the morning, and then picking the least weather-appropriate outfit possible. This album isn’t just about childhood, it’s about our childhoods. In 2021, Beppie released her fourth album, Dino-mite!, along with an award- winning illustrated children’s book that follows the adventures of two dinosaurs, Larry & Joe, who are best friends on a funny, heartwarming, and musical journey. The production of Dino- mite! was sponsored by FACTOR Canada, Alberta Music, and The Alberta Foundation of the Arts. Beppie has received airtime on radio stations and playlists, including Carousel Radio (WPKN), Wee Nation Radio, Jump 105.3 Pittsburg, Funky Kids Radio (Australia), Play Time Playlist, and many more. Her last two albums were included on the GRAMMY ballot for Best children’s album and have received rave reviews from her peers and fans. A music educator by trade, she provides programming for schools, festivals, and libraries. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and her Orff Level 1. In 2021, Stephanie received a scholarship to complete her Level 1 teaching Certificate with the James Hill Ukulele Initiative. She has studied extensively through the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been teaching for over twenty years. The inspiration for her albums comes from her students and her three young children. Stephanie is the Director of Lesson Development at Resonate Music School & Studio, where she has developed the early childhood music curriculum using her original songs.
